What Makes A Photographers Photograph Controversial to the World?

There have been many photographs in the world that have gotten some heat by media or just people around the world like Annie Leibovitz and Sally Mann. So what really makes these photographs controversial to the world? Some of the reasons are because people do not understand what the photographer is trying to put out there and they see the image the photographer has taken and just make their own opinion about it and once that is done they start to talk and soon the image gets around and everyone is talking about it and how it is controversial. Then there is the part that some people do not think the photograph looks normal to what they feel like a photograph should look like. People and the media really make controversy when a photographer takes a photograph of a celebrity because the world seems to be fascinated with celebrities and when an image gets out that the public thinks the celebrity should not do because the world has an image made up for the celebrity and people in the world do not like to see that celebrity brake it, then the world and media start to react and the reaction is usually one that has to do with controversy. This is how a photographers photograph that they put out can be controversial to the world because mainly the world is not ready for the photograph they see and it is something that they never expected to see.
